Leased off entrepreneur Jay Harman by the Rajneesh Sannyasin (Orange People) of Fremantle in 1985 as a non-residential commune. The Rajneesh left their previous commune at the Fremantle Trades Hall, which they had occupied since 1981.
In 2013 a commercial interior fit-out was carried out by the architectural firm vittinoAshe.
